Genmaicha is green tea with roasted rice, which has a nutty, sweet, and distinctive character. Legend has it that it was created by accident in the 15th century when a samurai’s servant accidentally mixed rice with tea while roasting. Today, this tea is popular with everyone. The leaves are flat and green, enriched with lightly roasted and crushed rice. The drink is a light golden yellow color.
